Account data you provide: email address, username, and a hashed password. Billing data: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details; we store only your Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and payment status. Optional: your Telegram chat ID and username if you connect Telegram alerts. Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.
To operate your account and subscription, deliver alerts you opted into, send transactional and service emails, prevent abuse, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
We use: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Telegram (alerts you opt into), and Google/YouTube (owner-authorized publishing to TheScanner's own YouTube channel). Market data comes from licensed providers and involves no personal data. Each processor handles data under its own privacy policy.
TheScanner uses YouTube API Services solely through an internal, owner-authorized publishing integration to upload original videos and metadata to TheScanner's own YouTube channel. Subscribers and viewers are not asked to connect their Google or YouTube accounts. We do not use YouTube APIs to collect or store subscriber or viewer profiles, watch history, comments, analytics, advertising data, or other YouTube user data.
Data used and purpose. The integration processes the scheduled video's file URL, title, description, tags, privacy status, and the resulting YouTube video ID only to publish original content, prevent duplicate uploads, and monitor delivery. The connected channel owner's OAuth authorization is stored in restricted production configuration and is not exposed to subscribers or viewers.
Retention, deletion, and revocation. The channel-owner authorization is retained only while the publishing integration is enabled. If the channel owner disables or revokes the integration, the authorization credential is removed from production configuration. Limited upload-status and deduplication records may be retained to document delivery and prevent repeated uploads; they do not contain subscriber or viewer YouTube personal data. The connected channel owner may revoke access at any time through Google Security permissions. A request to delete associated operational records may be sent to theonescanners@gmail.com and will be processed within 30 days, except where limited retention is required for security or law. We do not sell or share YouTube API data.
Use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, the Google Privacy Policy, and the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Account data is kept while your account exists. Server logs are retained briefly for security. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Contact).
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may opt out of marketing email at any time by replying "unsubscribe". Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
Passwords are stored hashed, secrets are encrypted at rest, and access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; we notify affected users of any material breach as required by law.
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
